When we are Closed

Out of Hours Call 111 (at weekends and Bank Holidays and from 18:00 to 08:00 during the week)

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Other Sources of Help

NHS Walk-in Centres

There are two NHS Walk in Centres in our area, one in the centre of Bristol and one at Hengrove. If you are unable to get back to Keynsham for an appointment in the surgery you can use one of these centres. They are able to advise and give treatments for minor injuries and illnesses. NHS Walk in Centres do not replace your local GP but should be seen as supporting the services that we provide. These health centres are open 08:00 to 20:00, 7 days a week.

Accident and Emergency Services

The nearest major accident and emergency centres are at the Royal United Hospital, Bath and Bristol Royal Infirmary. Minor casualty work is undertaken by the practice doctors and nurses but we have no x-ray facilities so if a bone is obviously broken and first aid has been carried out, go straight to hospital.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
