Guide to Prescriptions

Request a medication online

You can request repeat medications in the following ways

Unfortunately, we cannot accept repeat requests by telephone or email.

By far the best way to request your medications is via the NHS app or via services.

If you request in writing, please include the patient’s name, address, date of birth and the exact medication required.

We send all of our prescriptions directly to the pharmacy of your choice.  Please advise our reception team which pharmacy you would like to collect your prescriptions from.

Please allow 72 working hours for the surgery to process your request. When requesting a prescription to be sent to a chemist, please allow an additional 3-4 days before collection as the medication may need to be ordered. Please check with your chemist on the timescale for collecting prescriptions.

 Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication may be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
