You can request repeat medications in the following ways
- In writing either at the desk or post
- By email (Please be aware that this email address is not secure.)
Unfortunately, we cannot accept repeat requests by telephone.
By far the best way to request your medications is via the new online services, call into reception with some photographic proof of ID to register.
Alternatively if requesting via email or in writing, please include the patient’s name, address, date of birth and the exact medication required. If you would like us to forward the prescriptions to a chemist, please indicate this clearly on the request.
We can send your prescriptions directly to all of the local chemists in Keynsham; Boots, Large Lloyds, Keynsham Pharmacy and Chandag. We also liaise with the ASDA pharmacy at Longwell Green (see opening times for ASDA Pharmacy) and for Saltford patients, we can send to the Day Lewis Pharmacy.
Please allow 72 hours for the surgery to process your request. When requesting a prescription to be sent to a chemist, please allow an additional 3-4 days before collection as the medication may need to be ordered. Please check with your chemist on the timescale for collecting prescriptions.
Patients on repeat medication may be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
