Emergency Contraception
(“Morning After Pill & Morning After Coil”)
Hormonal contraception may be possible up to 72 hours after unprotected intercourse or if an “accident” occurs with other methods and even a little longer if a coil is used. Please contact the surgery during normal hours and have this treatment as soon as is reasonably possible. The morning after pill may also be available free of charge at the chemist. C-Card Scheme
WHAT is the C Card scheme?
A coordinated approach to condom distribution which offers young people in Bath and North East Somerset free condoms, sexual health and relationships advice and information.
Users are required to register with the scheme. This includes a consultation with a trained worker. Once issued with a C Card, young people can then get condoms at a number of local outlets and be given new supplies without further consultation.
It is for young people aged between 13 and 24 years of age who live in or access services in Bath & North East Somerset. This scheme is open to all sexual identities and sexual orientations.
