Home Visits

If you are housebound or too ill to come to the surgery and genuinely need a home visit, please telephone 01179 376835 before 11:00 so that the doctors can plan their calls.

Home visits are normally undertaken at any time between midday and 15:00 and you should not expect the doctor to arrive immediately following the end of the morning surgery.

Please only request visits if absolutely necessary as the doctor can see three patients in surgery in the same time taken to do one home visit. The doctor also has better conditions and facilities for sorting out your problem at the surgery. Home visits are not available to assist with problems of transport to the surgery.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
